UA Students Recognized For KURM Documentary

A trio of UA students has received international acclaim for a documentary the group produced in 2008.
Kelley Miller, Hayot Tuychiev and Nikki Wise were finalists for the David Wolper Student Documentary Award at the International Documentary Association for their work on “KURM: Soapbox of the Air.”
The trio attended the awards ceremony in Los Angeles in December.
The show was one of three finalists for the award and has been submitted for an award in the student documentary division at the Mid-America Emmys this October.
